Late Morning Cruising/ Museum-ing/Lunching

Am having to think out of the box as to how best to discover Amsterdam with dog in tow.  Canal Cruise's regulations state that "in theory dogs are not allowed".  I immediately asked politely, and found ourselves welcomed on board at 10am.  The 1-hour cruise was an excellent introduction to the city, and helped orientate me.  Some moments:
Going out to sea

The oldest bridge or something

Look carefully and find the 7 bridges...

House-boat living

Oldest Protestant Church

Bruno charms German tourists- Ich spreche eine bissen Deutsch!

Trusty, terrific, travel companion
After that, we headed back to the 9 Streets, walked a few blocks to Het Grachtenhuis- a tiny museum dedicated to the architectural history of the canal houses.
Bruno sits through multi-media presentations & ponders over urban planning...
By 1pm-ish, the thought of CROWDS of tourists thronging the newly-reopened Rijksmuseum, sends us straight to LUNCH.
I've enjoyed our brief stay here.  What I love most is that dogs are accepted as integral in daily living and activities.  Think it was Gandhi (?) who said something about the state of a nation reflected in the way we treat our animals.  Well, on that scale then, Amsterdam stands heads above all.
