1. Walk, aimlessly. He has gear, I don't mind getting wet.
Bruno at Saint-Michel (above), waiting to cross a very busy intersection.
Bruno walked all the way to Notre Dame without complaining. Good boy, Bruno!
2. Museums are a great place to be on wet afternoons, but as he is not allowed, I decided to think of the city as a living, breathing, pulsating museum.
For art is everywhere, with the ghost of Louis XIV lurking. I just have to pay attention.
3. Take a ride on the Batobus!
It stops at 8 different points along the Seine, offers Paris from a different perspective.
For 15 Euros, you can simply hop-on/hop-off when inspired.
Besides, the Batobus has some sort of heating, so Bruno who was beginning to shiver, had a chance to rest, and recover.
One last thought on the genius of Batobus-ing on a cloudy day? So much better for your skin! I won't be caught here on a sunny day with all that UV light pouring through the glass windows and roof!
Rested & just about recovered... |
4. Go ahead, walk some more!
5. Wining and Dining
OYSTERS? I don't think so. |
Bruno says- Yay, cheese & bread! |
Bruno says- Yay, more cheese and tomatoes and bread! |
(Two thumbs up especially for Les Deux Magots where we were so warmly welcomed, and heartily fed. I had always thought of this establishment as a tourist trap, and was happy to be proven wrong today. Bon Appetite!)
Les Deux Magots, 6 Place Saint-Germain des Pres, 75006
