Bruno & Notting Hill

Once upon a time, not so very long ago, Notting Hill was a slum.  It was also the scene of some nasty race rioting.  Things eventually got a little better.  And then there was that Hugh Grant-Julia Roberts movie.  Then the American expat community moved in, in droves.  And of course the tourists come to catch a glimpse of.
Bruno at that bookstore...

We visit the market at Portobello as Bruno is not allowed at Waitross.  We find fresh vegetables and fruit for sale.

We find cupcakes and miss Summie briefly.

There is the old cinema, my friend SF used to patronise.  We think of her and send her love.

On Blenheim Crescent I find the spice shop and let out a cry of delight to see unadulterated lemongrass for sale.

For a taste of (current) local Notting Hill, I would suggest Westbourne Grove, or Ledbury Road- tree-lined streets with independent stores, some recognisable designer brands, and lots of cute cafes and food shops.

Before the sun sets, we find the local pub off Chepstow, where Bruno is offered water and doggy biscuits.

Welcome to our hood.  I think we are going to be happy living here.
